DESCRIPTION:Home » Events » Festivals & Music Events\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHastings Beer and Music Festival began in 1981. It is an annual three-day event organised by Hastings Round Table. In 2017\, the HBMF committee decided the festival had outgrown its home in Alexandra Park. After 35 years\, it moved to a new venue at The Oval on Bohemia Road in Hastings. \nIt is the biggest social event in the area. The Oval offers stunning sea views from its elevated position. The festival is entirely staffed by volunteers. Every penny raised (over £1 million to date) goes to local good causes. \nThe festival celebrates the best of local beer\, food and music. Held over a weekend\, it attracts visitors from across the region. People come to sample a wide variety of locally brewed beers\, ciders and wines. There are also many food stalls serving tasty treats. Live music from local bands and artists entertains guests throughout the day and into the night. With a fun and friendly atmosphere\, the festival is a great way to enjoy local culture. Visitors can spend a weekend of festivities with friends and family. In recent years\, about 10\,000 people attend the festival each year.

At the same time\, there will still be plenty of space elsewhere for people who want to enjoy the music more casually and catch up with friends. \nThis year\, the Koho Festival aims to pack the venue with 14 incredible acts. Bands\, duos and solo performers will showcase the very best of the local live music scene.
