Beatwave is a music festival in Hastings celebrating live 1960s surf, beat, rock ’n’ roll and garage music. It also features DJs playing ska, psychedelic rock, R&B and soul.
Held at The Pig Hastings on White Rock, the festival returns from 17–19 July 2026 for its tenth anniversary. Since launching in 2016, Beatwave has become a regular fixture in the Hastings summer events calendar. It brings together live music, DJs and dancing by the sea.
Whether you’re a fan of vintage sounds or looking for a unique summer event in Hastings, Beatwave offers a lively weekend of music in a seafront setting on the Sussex coast.
Live Music and DJs at Beatwave
Across the weekend, Beatwave features live performances inspired by 1960s surf, beat, rock ’n’ roll and garage music.
Between bands, DJs keep the dancefloor moving with ska, psychedelic rock, R&B and soul. The weekend runs from afternoon until late. It creates a packed schedule of live music and entertainment.
Beatwave at The Pig Hastings
Beatwave takes place at The Pig Hastings, a popular seafront pub on White Rock that regularly hosts live music and events throughout the year.
Located close to Hastings beach, Hastings railway station and the seafront, the venue is easy to reach on foot and provides the perfect setting for a weekend of live music by the sea.
