The Battle of Hastings Re-enactment marks the 960th anniversary of the legendary 1066 battle. It will take place on 10–11 October 2026 at Battle Abbey. This iconic event invites visitors to experience the Norman Conquest where it actually happened.

To mark 960 years since King Harold II faced William the Conqueror, hundreds of skilled re-enactors will recreate the battle. Expect the clash of shields and the roar of advancing armies. Authentic combat sequences bring the events of 1066 vividly to life. This special anniversary makes the spectacle even more immersive.

Beyond the battlefield, visitors can enjoy a full medieval experience. Explore living history camps and meet Saxon and Norman soldiers.
