About
The St Leonards Festival is a free, family-friendly annual community arts and culture festival held in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. Taking place in Warrior Square Gardens, the festival celebrates local creativity, diversity and community through live music, street performances, visual arts, workshops, food stalls and interactive activities.
Since 2006, it has become a key part of the local summer events calendar and a major showcase of the town’s creative identity.
Community Parade
A highlight of the Festival is the Community Parade. Local schools, artists, performers and community groups take part in a colourful procession. The parade travels from Hastings Pier to Warrior Square Gardens, filling the streets with music, costumes and street performance before the main festival programme begins.
Live Music and Family Entertainment
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy live bands, dance performances, street theatre and roaming performers. The programme also includes creative workshops, art displays and interactive activities for all ages.
Independent traders, local food stalls and community organisations feature across the site. This creates a lively festival atmosphere that reflects the character of St Leonards-on-Sea.
Celebrate Local Arts and Culture
The Festival brings together residents, artists and visitors for a full day of entertainment and community activity. Visitors can enjoy live performances, creative workshops and street entertainment throughout Warrior Square Gardens, reflecting the energy and character of St Leonards-on-Sea.
